I’m immensely proud to have been appointed TPEGS Captain for 2024.

I vaguely recall a phone call from last year’s Captain, Colin Bloomfield, asking me to be his vice-Captain, who then promptly left me to ‘front-up’ the first two events which he couldn’t make!!

We had a great start to this year in the Midlands, at Blackwell and Copt Heath, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season for which I must thank our Secretary, Geoff Watson. How he managed to arrange all the dates and courses around my diary was a miracle!!

The weather so far this year has been variable but as we get into the season, I hope that the rain will ease, the sun will come out, and we’ll have a little cushioning under our balls – makes for a much cleaner contact!

Looking forward to playing with as many of you as possible this year.
